Blockstream Jade
Blockstream Jade is a hardware wallet for securing Bitcoin and Liquid Network assets. Private keys are stored on the device itself, which does not connect to the internet, and bitcoin can only be spent using the encrypted keys held on Jade. The device uses what Blockstream calls blind oracle encryption, which the company says allows the device to remain fully open-source while preventing physical key extraction.
Jade includes a 1.9 inch IPS LCD display, USB-C and Bluetooth connectivity, and support for SD card or USB drive use, along with air-gapped transaction and firmware upgrade options. It is supported by multiple wallet platforms and can be paired with the Blockstream app, which also allows customers to buy bitcoin directly to self-custody.

- No secure element: the PIN relies on a Blockstream server by default

- A small screen and buttons make long checks fiddly
- Buy direct, never from a marketplace
