Price Record What your app kept, on the record.
The Fair Price Check tells you, free, what an app or ATM kept on a purchase or a sale. A Price Record keeps that answer as a dated page that will not change.

How it works
From a check you have just made
- 1Make a Fair Price Check
Signed in: the coin, the app, what you paid and what you received. The answer is free.
- 2Choose “Keep a Price Record”
Under the answer, within the hour. $4 in USDC on Base, the exact amount shown before you send anything.
- 3It is issued at once
No measurement to wait for: the record is of the check, at the minute it was made. Share the link, or print it.
Who it is for
For a figure someone else will look at
A dated record of what a purchase or a sale really cost, beside the market price.
To an app, a bank or a regulator, with the figures and the minute they were read.
Who asked you to check what they were charged, and wants it in writing.
What you get
The check, frozen and dated
- What was paid and received
The amounts as you entered them from your own screen, and the app or ATM you used.
- The market price at that minute
The Coinbase and Kraken bid/offer midpoint, checked against our own price, with the time in Central Time.
- What was kept
In dollars and as a share of what you paid, and whether it was within normal market movement.
- Kept three years
In your account, deletable by you at any time.
- Checkable by anyone you give it to
A reference and a fingerprint. Whoever receives it can confirm it is genuine.
Questions
Asked before buying
Why do I start with a check?
A Price Record is of one check you have just made, so it is kept from under that check’s answer. Make a check first, signed in.
How long can I keep a check?
For an hour after it is made. After that, make the check again.
Does it prove I made the purchase?
No. The amounts are the ones entered from your own screen, and the record says so.
Who can check it is genuine?
Anyone you give the reference to, on the check page.
Before you pay
- Stated figures. The amounts are the ones entered from your own screen. A record shows nothing about who made the purchase, or whether it was made.
- Not a valuation, and not advice. It does not say whether to buy, sell or complain.
- Sales are final. The check itself is free: make one first, and keep it only if you need it.
- If somebody asked you to pay a stranger in crypto, stop. The check shows free help, and offers nothing for sale.
