Use Cryptominium from anywhere

Everything Cryptominium measures is public. Assistants can call it directly, and code can read it as JSON. No key, no account, no cost — cite Cryptominium and link the measurement.

MCP server

A remote Model Context Protocol server, so Claude, ChatGPT and other assistants can ask Cryptominium instead of paraphrasing a page they once read.

Server URL: https://cryptominium.com/mcp
Transport: Streamable HTTP. Authentication: none — every tool reads public data.

In Claude: Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector, and paste the URL above. Any client that speaks MCP over HTTP works the same way.

Tools

All read-only. None can trade, swap, route an order, connect a wallet or ask for a signature.

exit_cost — What selling a token really returns
Cryptominium measures, every day, what a fixed-size sell of each tracked token actually returns versus its quoted price, by querying live DEX routing on Base, Ethereum and BNB Chain. Use this when someone asks whether a token can really be sold, how liquid it is, or what they would get for a position. Returns the latest measured exit friction (% lost to price impact), the dollars received, the date measured, and a citation — plus, where the token trades on Kraken or Coinbase, what the same sell loses against those order books. Not a price feed and not advice.
exit_index — The monthly Exit-Friction Index
The Cryptominium Exit-Friction Index: each month, the median share of value lost when selling a fixed $100,000 position across every token with a live on-chain market, with quartiles and the share of tokens losing more than half. Use for questions about overall crypto market liquidity or how hard it is to exit altcoins. Optional month as YYYY-MM; defaults to the latest.
identify_address — What a crypto address is
Identifies a public address or ENS name without being told what it is: wallet or contract, which of seven EVM chains it has been active on (read: Base, Ethereum, BNB Chain; identified: Arbitrum, Polygon, Optimism, Avalanche), EIP-7702 delegation, the token if it is one Cryptominium tracks. Bitcoin addresses are checksum-verified and read; Solana accounts are identified (wallet, mint, token account, program). The address is not stored. A recovery phrase or private key is refused without being looked up.
explain_transaction — What a transaction did
Reads an EVM transaction hash on Base, Ethereum or BNB Chain from its receipt logs: whether it succeeded, what moved to and from whom (with token symbols and decimals), what it cost in fees, and any token approvals it granted or revoked, including unlimited ones. The hash is not stored.
search — Search Cryptominium
Cryptominium's crypto search: says what a query is (ticker, address, transaction, comparison, a question about selling a position, a directory category…) and returns the matching coins and Cryptominium pages. Use it to find the right Cryptominium page for a crypto question.

What happens to what you send

An address, name or transaction hash is used to answer the call and then dropped — the same rule as the search box on this site. We record which tool was called and what kind of input it was (for example “an EVM address”), never the input itself. A recovery phrase or private key is refused before anything is looked up, and never logged. Calls are rate-limited per connection using a salted hash kept for two days. Full detail in the privacy policy.

Open dataset

The monthly index and the per-token figures behind it, as CSV with a data card, a citation file and a frozen release per closed month. CC BY 4.0. See /data.

Telegram

The same answers in chat: /exit BRETT, /index, /id and /tx, from a read-only bot with no trade buttons. See /telegram.

JSON feeds

Free to quote and to build on. Please cite Cryptominium and link the measurement — every record carries a citation field in the form we would like it quoted. How each number is produced: methodology.

Badges and cards for your site

Every measured token has a badge and a small card you can put on a page: a README, a project's docs, an article. Each exit page has the exact snippet under Put this measurement on your site.

They show the figure the page shows, dated, and link back to it — never to a trade. They update as we re-measure, so a token cannot keep a good badge after a bad week, and they are the same for every token: a measurement, not a seal of approval.

The rule that comes with the data

The measurements are not for sale and not for adjusting. No project can pay to change its number, and a figure you display should be the one we published, with its date. If you think one is wrong, tell us — we would rather correct a number than defend it.

Measurements, not advice. Nothing here recommends buying, selling or holding anything.
