What Edge is

Edge is a software wallet application for managing multiple cryptocurrency assets, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP, Dash, and Dogecoin, within a single app. It supports in-app buy, sell, and crypto-to-crypto exchange, and account access is secured with a username and password rather than manual seed phrase backups, with PIN or biometric login and sync across multiple devices.

The platform uses client-side encryption, meaning data is encrypted on the user's device before reaching Edge's servers, and the company describes a zero-knowledge architecture in which it does not hold users' private information. Encrypted account backups are stored on peer-to-peer cloud servers. Edge also offers a Duress Mode feature that unlocks a decoy account via a separate PIN, and provides a Security API/SDK for developers.
