What Electrum is
Electrum is an open-source Bitcoin wallet application built by Electrum Technologies GmbH. It is distributed as executables and Python source, with reproducible builds signed by multiple independent developers to allow verification via GPG signatures.
The software can be installed on desktop or mobile (Android), run from source, or used with a self-hosted Electrum server via the ElectrumX or Electrs implementations. Documentation, plugins, and support are provided through official and community channels including GitHub, IRC, and a plugin directory.
