What River is

River is a platform for buying, selling, and holding Bitcoin. It offers instant Bitcoin purchases and sales, zero-fee recurring buys, and the ability to transfer and store Bitcoin through the platform. Customers can also route paycheck funds into Bitcoin purchases.

The service pays interest on cash balances at a stated rate, delivered in Bitcoin, with USD funds held by a partner bank, Lead Bank, and covered by FDIC insurance up to program limits. River states it maintains full-reserve custody of Bitcoin held on the platform and provides proof of reserves, and describes a U.S.-based support team.
