The chains we read

Reading a chain here means something specific: we can fetch a balance from it, price a contract on it, and ask an aggregator what a real sell would return. That is a much smaller list than the chains we can recognise — paste an address from Cardano, Solana, TON or nine others and search will name the network and hand you its explorer, which is honest rather than useful.

Why the list is short

Every chain added is four upstream identifiers that fail silently when wrong — a pool index, a contract risk source, a routing aggregator, and the chain's own stablecoin with its decimal places. Get one wrong and the site reports "no data for this token", which is indistinguishable from a token nobody trades. So chains are added one at a time, each probed live before it ships, and the methodology page says what each upstream is for.

Searching an address on a chain we do not read is still worth doing: the search box identifies eleven address families and links the right explorer for each. It will tell you what you have, and tell you plainly that we cannot measure it.
