What CyberDEX is

CyberDEX (CYDX) is a decentralised perpetual swaps trading platform that runs on Optimism. It is built on top of Synthetix, using that protocol's liquidity model to let traders open leveraged positions in derivatives markets.

The mechanism relies on Synthetix's debt pool, a shared reserve of liquidity that fills orders near the quoted price with limited market impact, rather than matching individual buyers and sellers directly. Trades are settled against sUSD, a stablecoin quoted against synthetic versions of underlying assets. Prices for those synthetics are fed in by decentralised oracles, specifically Chainlink and Pyth, rather than derived from order-book activity on the platform itself.

CyberDEX is not an independent trading venue in the conventional sense: it has no order book of its own and no isolated liquidity pool — it inherits Synthetix's shared debt pool, meaning its execution quality and solvency are tied to that protocol's health, not just its own. It is categorised as DeFi, derivatives, and part of the Ethereum ecosystem, and is deployed on a single chain, so it carries the concentration and bridging risk that implies rather than the resilience of a multi-chain deployment. The source describes the mechanics of trade execution but says nothing about who built the platform, when it launched, or how it is governed — none of that can be inferred here. Traders should treat sUSD's peg and the oracle feeds as dependencies, not guarantees: the model's low-slippage claim rests entirely on the depth of the underlying debt pool at any given moment, which is not something this description measures.

GoPlus reading, 11 October Blocking addresses: none · Pausing transfers: none · GoPlus

On Ethereum, Base and BNB Chain, GoPlus's analysis of each contract is read weekly: whether it has a function to block addresses or pause transfers, and whether an owner holds it. That is GoPlus's reading, not ours. Where a token exists on several chains, one copy's settings say nothing about the original coin.

Always verify a contract address against the project's own site before sending anything. Addresses are shown as published by CoinGecko, not as an endorsement — and identical-looking tokens on other chains are the most common way people lose money here.

The exit-friction index

Once a month we publish what a $100,000 exit really costs across every token we can measure. Leave an address and this month’s figure arrives straight away, and we will write again when the next index publishes. Nothing else, and never to anyone else.
