CM Profile: Definitive

Cryptominium Profile. What we have established, measured and written about EDGE, and what we have not.

Measured

Read from our own records when this page was made. It describes what we know, and is not a view on whether to hold EDGE. How each part is worked out

What it actually costs to sell EDGE

Selling $100,000 of EDGE into each exchange’s resting bids, measured against the mid price:

ExchangeLostGot backMeasured
Coinbase EDGE/USD 7.86% $92,144 2026-10-09
Kraken EDGE/USD 73.6% $26,362 2026-10-09

Exchange figures need an account there (and KYC, a permitted country, the tokens already deposited), are before trading fees, and are never averaged with the on-chain figure. Binance is not included: it refuses requests from the region our servers are in. How this is measured →

Watch this number instead of remembering it. A free account keeps EDGE on a list, records where it stood the day you added it, and emails you if selling it on these exchanges gets materially harder — one message, not a series. The measurement itself stays public; the account is for being told when it moves without you looking.

What Definitive is

Definitive is an onchain trading platform that bundles order types more commonly associated with centralized exchanges — market, limit, stop-loss, and TWAP — into a single interface for trading tokens across decentralized exchanges. According to its own materials, it was built by people with backgrounds in Coinbase Institutional trading and active DeFi development. No founding date or company name is given in the source.

The platform works as an aggregator and router: a trade submitted through Definitive is split or directed across more than 100 DEXs and liquidity pools, with the system selecting execution paths intended to get a better price than hitting a single pool directly. The advanced order types (stop-loss, TWAP, limit buy/sell) are layered on top of this routing so that a user can set conditions for execution rather than trading only at the current market price.

EDGE is classified by CoinGecko as a decentralized exchange and DEX aggregator token within the Base ecosystem, and is tracked here simply as crypto. Despite marketing language about trading "any token on any chain," the measured deployment footprint is a single chain: Base. That means any cross-chain routing claims are not reflected in where the asset itself lives, and anyone evaluating multi-chain reach should treat that as unverified rather than assumed. No supply schedule, revenue share, or governance rights are described in the source, so none should be inferred — this is a description of a trading tool and its token, not a claim about what holding EDGE entitles you to.

Where EDGE lives

GoPlus reading, 8 October Blocking addresses and pausing transfers: not reported for this contract (often an upgradeable one).

On Ethereum, Base and BNB Chain, GoPlus's analysis of each contract is read weekly: whether it has a function to block addresses or pause transfers, and whether an owner holds it. That is GoPlus's reading, not ours. Where a token exists on several chains, one copy's settings say nothing about the original coin.

Always verify a contract address against the project's own site before sending anything. Addresses are shown as published by CoinGecko, not as an endorsement — and identical-looking tokens on other chains are the most common way people lose money here.

The exit-friction index

Once a month we publish what a $100,000 exit really costs across every token we can measure. Leave an address and this month’s figure arrives straight away, and we will write again when the next index publishes. Nothing else, and never to anyone else.
