What GAIB AID is

GAIB describes itself as an economic layer for AI infrastructure, converting real-world AI assets such as GPUs, robotics and AI energy systems into tradable, reward-bearing onchain instruments. It positions this as a bridge between DeFi liquidity and AI infrastructure financing. AID is the first product issued on this layer.

AID is structured as a synthetic dollar, backed by U.S. treasury bills and stable assets. Staking AID produces sAID, a receipt token issued through ERC-4626 vaults that represents proportional ownership in a portfolio combining AI compute and robotics financing deals with a treasury-bill reserve. The design intent is to let holders gain exposure to AI infrastructure financing while sAID itself remains liquid and usable elsewhere in DeFi.

What this means in practice depends entirely on the underlying financing deals, none of which are detailed in GAIB's own description — there is no specification here of which compute or robotics agreements back the vaults, how they are valued, or how yield is generated and passed through. The "synthetic dollar" framing and treasury backing describe an intended structure, not an audited reserve mechanism. AID is deployed on a single chain, Ethereum, which means its risk profile is tied to that network alone, with no cross-chain redundancy described. It is classified by data providers as a Real World Asset token within the Ethereum ecosystem, which is a categorization, not a guarantee of the quality or liquidity of the assets it claims to represent.

GoPlus reading, 20 October Blocking addresses and pausing transfers: not reported for this contract (often an upgradeable one).

On Ethereum, Base and BNB Chain, GoPlus's analysis of each contract is read weekly: whether it has a function to block addresses or pause transfers, and whether an owner holds it. That is GoPlus's reading, not ours. Where a token exists on several chains, one copy's settings say nothing about the original coin.

Always verify a contract address against the project's own site before sending anything. Addresses are shown as published by CoinGecko, not as an endorsement — and identical-looking tokens on other chains are the most common way people lose money here.

The exit-friction index

Once a month we publish what a $100,000 exit really costs across every token we can measure. Leave an address and this month’s figure arrives straight away, and we will write again when the next index publishes. Nothing else, and never to anyone else.
