What Hermez Network is
CoinGecko classifies Hermez Network (HEZ) as a Smart Contract Platform token tied to a Layer 2, zero-knowledge rollup, deployed on Ethereum. As such, holding HEZ does not by itself grant execution on the base Ethereum chain or any guarantee of throughput or fees; whatever utility it carries depends on the rollup's own contracts and operation continuing as built.
