What The Interfold is

The Interfold is an open-source protocol and distributed network for confidential coordination. It allows multiple independent parties to contribute private inputs to a shared computation without exposing the underlying data or handing control to a single operator. The source material does not state who built it or when it launched.

Computation happens inside what the protocol calls Encrypted Execution Environments, or E3s. Multiple parties submit private inputs into one of these environments, the computation runs without any single party or operator seeing the underlying data, and the result can be verified by others without revealing what produced it. The stated use cases are processes where the inputs themselves are sensitive: secret ballots, sealed-bid auctions, confidential analytics, and similar multiparty tasks.

This is infrastructure for a computation technique, not a service with its own user-facing product — what it enables depends entirely on who builds applications on top of E3s, and the source gives no detail on adoption, audits, or which applications (if any) are live. It is deployed on a single chain, Ethereum, which means its security and availability inherit Ethereum's own constraints rather than spreading risk across multiple networks. Nothing in the source describes a token utility, a fee mechanism, or revenue accrual to FOLD, so no claim about value capture can be made here. Classification by data providers as privacy infrastructure describes a category, not a guarantee that any given deployment of E3s is correctly implemented or free of the operational and cryptographic risks inherent in confidential computation generally.

GoPlus reading, 20 October Blocking addresses: none · Pausing transfers: none · GoPlus

On Ethereum, Base and BNB Chain, GoPlus's analysis of each contract is read weekly: whether it has a function to block addresses or pause transfers, and whether an owner holds it. That is GoPlus's reading, not ours. Where a token exists on several chains, one copy's settings say nothing about the original coin.

Always verify a contract address against the project's own site before sending anything. Addresses are shown as published by CoinGecko, not as an endorsement — and identical-looking tokens on other chains are the most common way people lose money here.

The exit-friction index

Once a month we publish what a $100,000 exit really costs across every token we can measure. Leave an address and this month’s figure arrives straight away, and we will write again when the next index publishes. Nothing else, and never to anyone else.
