What Nexus is
Nexus is described by its own material as a planned Exchange Layer 1 blockchain aimed at what it calls "verifiable finance." The stated goal is a decentralized Internet Exchange: a Layer 1 platform where assets, markets, and information streams are tradable with low latency, built on verifiable computation using zero-knowledge proofs. The source does not name a founding team or a launch date.
The described mechanism centers on zero-knowledge proofs as the computational backbone, used to verify transactions and data without re-executing them in full, which the project frames as the basis for extreme performance and low latency trading. Beyond this framing, the source gives no detail on consensus mechanism, validator structure, or how the exchange layer would interoperate with other chains.
What the source describes is a vision statement, not a specification: it uses phrases like "will be" and "our vision" rather than describing a live, operating exchange. It gives no information on tokenomics, supply, revenue mechanics, or governance, so none can be stated here. CoinGecko classifies the token under tags including Smart Contract Platform, Layer 1, Zero Knowledge, and Binance Alpha Spotlight, and it is deployed on the BNB Smart Chain and Ethereum networks — but a classification tag is not a claim of function, and deployment on two chains says nothing about whether the described Layer 1 exchange itself has been built or is operating independently of them.
Where NEX lives
On Ethereum, Base and BNB Chain, GoPlus's analysis of each contract is read weekly: whether it has a function to block addresses or pause transfers, and whether an owner holds it. That is GoPlus's reading, not ours. Where a token exists on several chains, one copy's settings say nothing about the original coin.
Always verify a contract address against the project's own site before sending anything. Addresses are shown as published by CoinGecko, not as an endorsement — and identical-looking tokens on other chains are the most common way people lose money here.
