What ParagonsDAO is

ParagonsDAO (PDT) is a decentralized autonomous organization describing itself as an economic and social partner to blockchain-gaming ecosystems. It was formerly known as ParallelDAO, and at launch its stated focus is the game Parallel TCG. The DAO holds assets tied to that game — described in its own materials as Masterpieces, Catalyst Drives and Prime Keys — and is organized around the PDT token.

PDT holders govern the DAO's holdings and decide collectively how those assets are used: hosting tournaments, sponsoring players, funding content, or other activities the DAO votes on. The stated aim is to grow Parallel's user base through partnerships across NFT and DeFi communities, and to give a broader set of participants access to in-game assets and opportunities that would otherwise require large individual investment. The source frames this as a community-led project, with the DAO's future direction left to be determined by token holders rather than fixed in advance.

What this means in practice is narrower than the framing suggests. PDT is a governance token over a specific set of DAO-held gaming assets tied to one ecosystem, Parallel; it is not a stake in that game's publisher, and nothing in the source describes a claim on revenue or profit. The DAO's value is bound to the fortunes of a single game described here as still in its early stages — if that game does not grow, the assets the DAO holds and the governance rights over them may not either. CoinGecko classifies it under Gaming, Play-to-Earn and the Ethereum and Base ecosystems; it trades on both Base and Ethereum. Beyond the categories and the token's governance function, no information on treasury size, asset composition, or decision-making track record is available here.

On Ethereum, Base and BNB Chain, GoPlus's analysis of each contract is read weekly: whether it has a function to block addresses or pause transfers, and whether an owner holds it. That is GoPlus's reading, not ours. Where a token exists on several chains, one copy's settings say nothing about the original coin.

Always verify a contract address against the project's own site before sending anything. Addresses are shown as published by CoinGecko, not as an endorsement — and identical-looking tokens on other chains are the most common way people lose money here.

The exit-friction index

Once a month we publish what a $100,000 exit really costs across every token we can measure. Leave an address and this month’s figure arrives straight away, and we will write again when the next index publishes. Nothing else, and never to anyone else.
