What it actually costs to sell RIVER
Selling $100,000 of RIVER into each exchange’s resting bids, measured against the mid price:
| Exchange | Lost | Got back | Measured |
|---|---|---|---|
| Kraken RIVER/USD | 64.7% | $35,331 | 2026-10-21 |
Exchange figures need an account there (and KYC, a permitted country, the tokens already deposited), are before trading fees, and are never averaged with the on-chain figure. Binance is not included: it refuses requests from the region our servers are in. How this is measured →
Watch this number instead of remembering it. A free account keeps RIVER on a list, records where it stood the day you added it, and emails you if selling it on these exchanges gets materially harder — one message, not a series. The measurement itself stays public; the account is for being told when it moves without you looking.
What River is
River is a chain-abstraction stablecoin system designed to let collateral, yield, and liquidity move across blockchains without bridging assets between them. It is built around an omni-CDP (collateralized debt position) model, with its stablecoin, satUSD, as the mechanism that carries this functionality.
The core design lets a user post collateral on one chain and mint satUSD on a different chain, without moving the underlying collateral itself. River describes this as the first omni-CDP module of this kind, intended to let users earn, borrow against, and scale their positions across ecosystems natively rather than through conventional bridges or wrapped-asset transfers.
River is a protocol concept and a stablecoin mechanism, not a yield guarantee or a deposit-insured product; an omni-CDP structure still carries the standard risks of any collateralized debt position, including liquidation if collateral value falls. The source does not disclose who built River, when it launched, or the economic or audit details of satUSD, so none of that can be stated here. It is deployed across Base, BNB Chain, and Ethereum, and is tagged by CoinGecko under categories including BNB Chain Ecosystem, Base Ecosystem, Binance Alpha Spotlight, and Chain Abstraction — classifications, not endorsements of security or performance. Nothing here describes the stablecoin's peg mechanism in detail, its collateral types, or its track record under stress, and none of that should be assumed from the name or the category tags alone.
Where RIVER lives
On Ethereum, Base and BNB Chain, GoPlus's analysis of each contract is read weekly: whether it has a function to block addresses or pause transfers, and whether an owner holds it. That is GoPlus's reading, not ours. Where a token exists on several chains, one copy's settings say nothing about the original coin.
Always verify a contract address against the project's own site before sending anything. Addresses are shown as published by CoinGecko, not as an endorsement — and identical-looking tokens on other chains are the most common way people lose money here.
