What Rollbit Coin is
Rollbit Coin (RLB) is the token of the Rollbit lottery. According to the project's own description, it was not sold through an ICO; instead it was distributed by airdrop, a method the source describes as historically used across cryptocurrency projects to bootstrap growth, incentivise community development, and reward early adopters.
The mechanism described is distribution rather than function: rather than raising funds through a token sale, Rollbit gave RLB away for free as part of the lottery's launch. The source frames this as a way of seeding a user base and rewarding participation early, rather than as a fundraising exercise.
The source passage says nothing about what RLB is used for beyond its role in the lottery launch — no description of governance rights, revenue share, staking, or utility elsewhere in the platform. It is deployed on a single chain, Ethereum, with no cross-chain presence noted. CoinGecko places it in Gambling (GambleFi), Gaming (GameFi), and Ethereum Ecosystem categories, which describes market classification, not mechanism. Nothing here indicates the token accrues value from platform activity, nor does the source specify a supply schedule, an issuance cap, or ongoing distribution plans beyond the initial airdrop. What is documented is the launch method; what is not documented is everything about the token's function afterward.
Where RLB lives
On Ethereum, Base and BNB Chain, GoPlus's analysis of each contract is read weekly: whether it has a function to block addresses or pause transfers, and whether an owner holds it. That is GoPlus's reading, not ours. Where a token exists on several chains, one copy's settings say nothing about the original coin.
Always verify a contract address against the project's own site before sending anything. Addresses are shown as published by CoinGecko, not as an endorsement — and identical-looking tokens on other chains are the most common way people lose money here.
