What wojak is

Wojak ($WOJAK) is an Ethereum-based meme token built around the long-running Wojak internet meme, also called "Feels Guy." The token aims to bring this meme onto the blockchain as a community-driven asset with transparent tokenomics and permanently locked liquidity.

The Wojak character originated around 2009–2010 on European imageboards before spreading to Reddit, 4chan, and other platforms, evolving into a set of archetypes used across the internet to express emotion and commentary. The token's contract has been renounced and its liquidity pool permanently burned, removing centralized control over the contract and the pool. It carries zero transaction taxes and trades on decentralized exchanges on Ethereum. The project describes itself as a community revival initiative with no claimed utility beyond serving as a cultural and community token enabling social participation and decentralized trading.

This is a single-chain Ethereum asset with no stated function beyond meme signaling and community trading — there is no product, no revenue mechanism, and no roadmap described in the source beyond preserving a meme. A renounced contract and burned liquidity reduce certain risks (the team cannot alter the contract or pull the pool) but do not make the token valuable, liquid, or widely held; they only remove two specific failure modes. Nothing here indicates treasury funding, development activity, or utility beyond what any holder can verify on-chain. Classification as "meme" and "Wojak-themed" is categorical, not a statement about adoption or durability.

Where WOJAK lives

18 decimals
GoPlus reading, 15 October Blocking addresses: none · Pausing transfers: in the code, but no owner holds it · GoPlus

On Ethereum, Base and BNB Chain, GoPlus's analysis of each contract is read weekly: whether it has a function to block addresses or pause transfers, and whether an owner holds it. That is GoPlus's reading, not ours. Where a token exists on several chains, one copy's settings say nothing about the original coin.

Always verify a contract address against the project's own site before sending anything. Addresses are shown as published by CoinGecko, not as an endorsement — and identical-looking tokens on other chains are the most common way people lose money here.

The exit-friction index

Once a month we publish what a $100,000 exit really costs across every token we can measure. Leave an address and this month’s figure arrives straight away, and we will write again when the next index publishes. Nothing else, and never to anyone else.
