The Core Plan Builder

Design a plan calm enough that you can follow it on a bad day.

6 min · built to be printed

A plan written while nothing is happening is worth several times one written while something is. That is the entire logic of this sheet: decide the hard things now, in a dull moment, and reduce the decision you have to make later to "does this match what I already wrote?"

The most valuable box on the page is the one asking what does not trigger selling. Almost everyone can list what would make them sell. Very few have written down what would not — and without that line, everything becomes a reason.

Define the four

Purpose — the job these dollars are doing
Horizon — how long this has to grow
Contribution rhythm — amount and cadence
Boundaries — crypto as a share of overall investing, and a hard cap

The don't-panic rule

Write both columns. The left is the one that saves you money.

Does NOT trigger sellingDoes trigger a review

Note the asymmetry: the right-hand column triggers a review, not a sale. A review can conclude that nothing should happen, and usually does.

Your process in one paragraph

Start with "My process will be simple and repeatable." Then fold in the schedule, the boundary, the don't-panic rule and the weekly review. If it does not fit in a paragraph, it is too complicated to follow when you are rattled.
