How do you withdraw crypto from an exchange like Binance?
To withdraw from Binance you choose Withdraw in your assets, pick the coin, paste the receiving address, choose the network, enter the amount and confirm with your security check. The network has to match the one the receiving wallet or platform uses.
What it means for you
A withdrawal sent on the wrong network, or without a required memo, can be lost for good. Binance says to pick the network the receiving platform supports, not the cheapest one. The same rule applies when moving coins out of any exchange.
How it works
Binance's guide: in Assets, choose Withdraw, select the coin, enter or pick a saved address, choose the network, enter the amount, review and complete security verification. It warns that the selected network must be the same as the receiving platform's, that a wrong network or wrong details can mean permanent loss, and that some networks such as XRP or EOS need a memo, also called a tag. An address whitelist, once switched on, limits withdrawals to saved addresses.
