What we will not tell you: what the price does. An unlock is a quantity of tokens arriving against a market of a measurable size, and that is the whole of what this page computes. Everyone who tells you an unlock is bearish is giving you a forecast dressed as a fact — often about a token whose entire float already changes hands in an afternoon.
Sapien's token generation event was on 20 August 2025, with 25% of the one billion supply unlocked immediately. Supporters and investors hold 268.2 million (26.82%) and team and advisers hold 201.8 million (20.18%); both were locked for twelve months and then vest linearly over twenty-four, so both entered their vesting phase in August 2026 and now release monthly on the 20th through August 2028.
This is one tranche of that schedule, not a cliff. Further tranches fall on the 20th of each month.
One caveat we would rather state than hide: the date and the monthly cadence are confirmed by two independent sources, but the 27.4 million figure for this particular tranche comes from one of them alone. Treat the size as less certain than the date.
