What ChangeNOW is
ChangeNOW (NOW) is the native token of ChangeNOW, a non-custodial instant crypto exchange platform. It functions as an internal utility token across the ChangeNOW ecosystem, used for asset listing fees, staking through ChangeNOW Pro, and cashback distribution on swaps. Additional tokens can be earned through airdrops, community challenges, and social media campaigns run by the platform.
NOW is used across several ChangeNOW products: staking via ChangeNOW Pro for passive rewards (paid weekly into a staking pool, redeemable or restakable in part or full), cashback on swaps at ChangeNOW or NOW Wallet, and payment for services including NOWPayments, NOW Nodes, and AML checks. The token also unlocks partner perks. ChangeNOW states the token contracts are audited, with no extra minting or admin functions, and that quarterly burns reduce supply. The token runs on Binance Chain and Ethereum, and is tradable on Uniswap V3 and V2, PancakeSwap V3, and directly through ChangeNOW.io or NOW Wallet.
NOW is a token tied to one company's product suite rather than an independent protocol: its utility (fee discounts, cashback, staking rewards, service payments) depends entirely on continued usage of ChangeNOW's own platforms, and nothing in its design generates revenue or value independent of that ecosystem. The claimed audit and "no admin features" are asserted by the source, not independently verified here. It is deployed across Ethereum and BNB Chain, so it inherits the security and congestion characteristics of those networks rather than running its own consensus. CoinGecko classifies it under exchange-based and DEX-related categories, which situates it as an exchange utility token, not a governance token, a store of value, or a yield-bearing security in any regulated sense. The stated 6.25% APY is a platform-set staking rate, not a fixed or guaranteed return, and can change.
Where NOW lives
On Ethereum, Base and BNB Chain, GoPlus's analysis of each contract is read weekly: whether it has a function to block addresses or pause transfers, and whether an owner holds it. That is GoPlus's reading, not ours. Where a token exists on several chains, one copy's settings say nothing about the original coin.
