What it actually costs to sell FLOCK
Selling $100,000 of FLOCK into each exchange’s resting bids, measured against the mid price:
| Exchange | Lost | Got back | Measured |
|---|---|---|---|
| Kraken FLOCK/USD | 73.8% | $26,240 | 2026-11-04 |
| Coinbase FLOCK/USD | the book could not absorb it | 2026-11-04 | |
Exchange figures need an account there (and KYC, a permitted country, the tokens already deposited), are before trading fees, and are never averaged with the on-chain figure. Binance is not included: it refuses requests from the region our servers are in. How this is measured →
Watch this number instead of remembering it. A free account keeps FLOCK on a list, records where it stood the day you added it, and emails you if selling it on these exchanges gets materially harder — one message, not a series. The measurement itself stays public; the account is for being told when it moves without you looking.
What FLOCK is
FLock.io is a decentralised network for training and validating AI models. It aims to open up model creation and development, areas currently concentrated among a small number of technology companies, by making compute, data contribution, and training composable components that participants can combine. According to the source material, the team includes researchers with computer science PhDs from the University of Oxford, and the project counts DCG, Lightspeed Faction, Volt, Tagus, and OKX Ventures among its investors.
The stated mechanism rests on breaking the AI training pipeline into separable parts — compute, data, and training — so that these can be contributed and coordinated across a decentralised network rather than controlled end-to-end by a single company. The source does not detail the specific protocol, incentive structure, or validation method used to coordinate these contributions or verify model quality.
FLOCK is deployed across multiple chains — Base, BNB Smart Chain, Ethereum, HyperEVM, Robinhood, and Solana — which means its presence is distributed rather than native to one ecosystem; this says nothing about trading depth or liquidity on any given chain, which the page's own measurements cover separately. CoinGecko groups it under several AI and ecosystem categories, a classification scheme, not a technical guarantee that the network functions as described or that any given amount of AI training actually runs on it. The passage names backers and researchers but gives no date for the project's founding or launch, no figures on network usage, model throughput, or active participants, and no description of tokenomics, supply schedule, or what the FLOCK token itself does within the system. None of that can be inferred and none of it is asserted here.
Where FLOCK lives
On Solana, a mint authority can create more of the token and a freeze authority can freeze it in a holder's account; both are read from the token itself, every day. On Ethereum, Base and BNB Chain, GoPlus's analysis of each contract is read weekly: whether it has a function to block addresses or pause transfers, and whether an owner holds it. That is GoPlus's reading, not ours. Where a token exists on several chains, one copy's settings say nothing about the original coin.
Always verify a contract address against the project's own site before sending anything. Addresses are shown as published by CoinGecko, not as an endorsement — and identical-looking tokens on other chains are the most common way people lose money here.
