What Fluid is
CoinGecko classifies Fluid (FLUID) as a Decentralized Finance (DeFi) token, deployed across Arbitrum, Base, Ethereum, Plasma, Polygon, and Solana. As a DeFi token it is generally tied to the workings of a particular protocol, so any governance, fee, or utility role it carries depends on that protocol continuing to operate as designed, with no inherent claim on outside assets or revenue beyond it.
Where FLUID lives
Always verify a contract address against the project's own site before sending anything. Addresses are shown as published by CoinGecko, not as an endorsement — and identical-looking tokens on other chains are the most common way people lose money here.
