What Midas mHYPER is
Midas mHYPER (MHYPER) is a tokenised certificate issued by Midas. It is intended to reference the performance of selected market-neutral, stablecoin-focused strategies deployed across on-chain markets and ecosystems. The strategy is monitored by Hyperithm, a digital asset manager based in Tokyo and Seoul, which acts as the appointed Risk Manager.
The design goal is to give holders on-chain exposure to a basket of DeFi strategies without taking directional market risk — the underlying positions are structured to be market-neutral rather than long or short any particular asset. Midas issues the token as a wrapper on top of these strategies; Hyperithm's role is to monitor and manage the risk of the deployed positions rather than to custody or issue the token itself. The token is deployed across multiple chains, including Ethereum, Monad, and Plasma.
mHYPER is not a stablecoin, even though the strategies it references are stablecoin-focused: its value depends on the performance of the underlying trades, not on a peg. "Market-neutral" describes an intended strategy design, not a guarantee — it does not mean zero risk, and the source gives no figures on historical returns, drawdowns, fees, or how closely the token has tracked the strategies it references. There is no information here on redemption mechanics, counterparty risk, or how Hyperithm's risk oversight functions day to day. It is classified by CoinGecko under several thematic groupings, including Ethereum Ecosystem and Midas Liquid Yield Tokens, which describe category and chain presence, not performance or safety. Multi-chain deployment means the token exists on more than one network, which carries its own bridging and smart-contract considerations the source does not address.
Where MHYPER lives
On Ethereum, Base and BNB Chain, GoPlus's analysis of each contract is read weekly: whether it has a function to block addresses or pause transfers, and whether an owner holds it. That is GoPlus's reading, not ours. Where a token exists on several chains, one copy's settings say nothing about the original coin.
Always verify a contract address against the project's own site before sending anything. Addresses are shown as published by CoinGecko, not as an endorsement — and identical-looking tokens on other chains are the most common way people lose money here.
