What Noon USN is
Noon USN (USN) is a stablecoin built by Noon Capital designed to hold a 1:1 peg with the US dollar while paying yield to holders. It is positioned as an interest-bearing alternative to non-yielding stablecoins, intended for users who want a dollar-pegged asset with returns.
The yield is generated through what the project describes as a basis yield strategy — a combination of different trading approaches meant to produce returns across varying market conditions. The source does not specify the individual components of this strategy, how collateral is held, or how the peg mechanism itself is enforced.
USN is classified by CoinGecko as a stablecoin within the Ethereum, zkSync, and Starknet ecosystems, and it is deployed across all three networks. Beyond that classification, little here is independently verifiable from the source material: no collateral composition, reserve attestations, audit history, or redemption mechanism is described. "Basis yield strategy" is a label, not a specification — it does not say which instruments are traded, what the counterparty or smart-contract risks are, or how yield is distributed to holders. The claim that returns remain consistent "across various market conditions" is an assertion about intent, not a measured outcome; basis trades of the kind implied can and do lose money in stressed markets. Being listed on multiple chains means multiple bridge and deployment risks, not redundancy. Anyone evaluating this asset should look for the actual collateral and strategy disclosures before treating the peg or the yield as guaranteed.
Where USN lives
On Ethereum, Base and BNB Chain, GoPlus's analysis of each contract is read weekly: whether it has a function to block addresses or pause transfers, and whether an owner holds it. That is GoPlus's reading, not ours. Where a token exists on several chains, one copy's settings say nothing about the original coin.
Always verify a contract address against the project's own site before sending anything. Addresses are shown as published by CoinGecko, not as an endorsement — and identical-looking tokens on other chains are the most common way people lose money here.
