What Peapods Finance is
Peapods Finance (PEAS) is a permissionless decentralized finance protocol that lets any ERC-20 token serve as the base of its own yield-generating system. The protocol built a mechanism it calls "Volatility Farming," designed to extract sustainable yield from market price movements rather than from token emissions.
The core unit is a "Pod," a vault that accepts a deposited token (TKN) and issues a synthetic wrapped version (pTKN) tradable on decentralized exchanges. Price differences between TKN and pTKN create arbitrage opportunities, which the protocol taxes; this tax funds the yield distributed through the system. Pods are layered with additional features — single-sided leveraged liquidity provision, isolated lending markets, leveraged volatility farming, and "Metavaults" — so depositors, borrowers, and leveraged traders can all participate around the same underlying asset. Projects can also use this to generate liquidity for their own token without supplying separate capital.
PEAS is classified by data aggregators under decentralized finance, alongside ecosystem tags for Arbitrum, Base, Ethereum, Berachain, Mode, and Sonic, reflecting deployment across those six chains. This multi-chain footprint means the protocol's security and liquidity conditions vary by network rather than being uniform. The yield mechanism depends on arbitrage activity and price volatility in the wrapped token market — in periods of low volatility or thin arbitrage, the yield the protocol describes as "sustainable" has less activity to draw from. The system also relies on lending markets being adequately collateralized and on the wrapping/arbitrage mechanism functioning as designed; these are protocol-specific mechanics without a long independent track record described in the source. No revenue, supply, or valuation figures are included here, and none should be inferred from the mechanism description above.
Where PEAS lives
On Ethereum, Base and BNB Chain, GoPlus's analysis of each contract is read weekly: whether it has a function to block addresses or pause transfers, and whether an owner holds it. That is GoPlus's reading, not ours. Where a token exists on several chains, one copy's settings say nothing about the original coin.
Always verify a contract address against the project's own site before sending anything. Addresses are shown as published by CoinGecko, not as an endorsement — and identical-looking tokens on other chains are the most common way people lose money here.
