What Trust Wallet is

Trust Wallet Token (TWT) is a utility token designed for use within the Trust Wallet app, intended to incentivize users of the wallet.

The token has several stated uses. It functions as a governance token, letting holders participate in decisions about adding new blockchain support, tokens, and product features, and it is collected as a fee for submissions to the Trust Wallet repository. It is also used for discounts on DEX services and in-app crypto purchases, for transactions within a collectible marketplace, and for incentivizing developers through DApp reviews and promotions. Affiliate and bounty rewards paid in TWT can be converted to BNB or ETH to cover network fees, and the token supports a vouching system where users can signal confidence in developers whose products they use.

TWT is deployed across BNB Chain, the broader Binance Coin ecosystem, and Energi. Beyond this, no supply figures, issuance schedule, or founding details are established here, so none are stated. The token's utility is bound to the Trust Wallet app and its associated ecosystem — governance weight, fee discounts, and marketplace access only have meaning to someone using that app and its related services. A governance and utility token of this kind does not represent equity, revenue share, or a claim on any company's earnings, and none of the stated use cases amount to a yield or return mechanism. Fee discounts and incentive programs described in source material are product features of the app, not guarantees, and can be changed or discontinued by the app's operators at their discretion.

On Ethereum, Base and BNB Chain, GoPlus's analysis of each contract is read weekly: whether it has a function to block addresses or pause transfers, and whether an owner holds it. That is GoPlus's reading, not ours. Where a token exists on several chains, one copy's settings say nothing about the original coin.

Always verify a contract address against the project's own site before sending anything. Addresses are shown as published by CoinGecko, not as an endorsement — and identical-looking tokens on other chains are the most common way people lose money here.

The exit-friction index

Once a month we publish what a $100,000 exit really costs across every token we can measure. Leave an address and this month’s figure arrives straight away, and we will write again when the next index publishes. Nothing else, and never to anyone else.
